Reporting Day at Services Selection Board


Day 0(Day of Reporting):-

·        On the day of reporting, the candidates are picked from the railway station by a representation of the SSB and are accommodated in the board area.
·        The candidates are divided into groups of 8-10 each are issued chest numbers. They have to wear these chest numbers during the period of testing and selection.
·        After the distribution of chest numbers, the candidates are given forms to fill in their personal particulars. This form is known as the Board Questionnaire or Personal Information Questionnaire (PIQ).
·        The candidates are advised are advised to exercise a reasonable care while giving personal information in the questionnaire mainly because on the basis of the data given by them in the questionnaire their candidature is assessed.
·        The opening address is given by the president of the Services Selection Board or any other officer appointed by him (usually the GTO). In the opening address, candidates are briefed on testing schedule and general instructions, which must be followed throughout the duration of stay in selection center.
